Summer Solstice and with what now seems, a brighter light is shining nearer the end of what can only be described as a ‘nightmare tunnel’ With the only journey being made fortnightly to visit to my local supermarket, scanning for those ‘Yellow sticker’ reduced half price and dare I say it even if it sounds trivial to some but it makes my day. Another heatwave forecast and the sunshine is most surely welcome. With thoughts of moving forward…

A very different blog indeed. These days of Covid-19 certainly are a living nightmare for the human race, no matter which country you call home. Our NHS and all key workers are facing a crisis unlike any other, all are heroes. God bless each one. At times such as these, many, many step up to the plate. There are those who are a shining light in these dark days. Captain Tom Moore and soon to be knighted has raised over a staggering 35 million pounds.…

Abundant sunshine on this Sunday this Mother’s Day and many, many will remember as I do, the tremendous love we miss so, so much.
Yes, it is a sad day if you’re Mom has passed away, but trust me when I say “that loving bond never disappears”

Saint Patrick’s Day here already and if I asked you what each leaf on a four leaf clover represented, would you know ? The answer is faith, hope, luck and love. Now you know 😉 If you’ve ever visited Ireland, you’ll remember the warm welcome, the Irish charm and their ‘salt of the earth’ sincerity. Hope your day is a good one, even if you’re schedule is so busy there doesn’t seem a minute to spare. But when you do have a ‘window…

Wow, it’s been a while since my last blog. Time has just flown by, November busy times and then Christmas. And with January and February now a distant memory. Spring is in the air and yes, more daylight hours. The photograph ( selfie) you see attached, gives you an insight as to the natural look I prefer, ‘less is more’ . I’ll never ‘fish for compliments’ but it’s fabulous when I hear you say “never stop being gorgeous’ I would say…

Autumn, is my favourite time of year. Am sure it’s your favourite time too, let’s face it the Rugby World Cup is a joy to watch. It may be commiserations to Ireland, who really couldn’t compete with the ‘machine’ that is the All Blacks, but England and Wales are still in with a good chance of getting closer and closer to the final. Yes, you’ve gathered I’m a keen fan of Rugby. At this stage you may be thinking, why has Helen placed a…

This blog has been prompted by an assumption during a recent conversation. It was assumed that during the summer months I may not be available to meet ie., July and August. The assumption was incorrect. As with all liaisons, with sufficient notice I would be available to meet summer months (both July and August) Heatwaves were fabulous and the hotels I much prefer are those which have A.C, as the Mercury tends to rise whenever we meet, nudge, nudge,…

Bank Holiday here, with thoughts of fabulous summer weather to come. A brilliant visit to Goodwood was amazing, all the classic cars in each race were a joy to watch. I was amazed at how quick and nimble the minis were. Yes, yes, yes I do enjoy talking cars. Rugby too and the Commonwealth Games coming to Birmingham in 2022 will be awesome, can’t wait. You may not have noticed that I have a Twitter account. @HelenJameson No, I don’t treat it as…

A very different blog post today, for Mother’s Day. A day for both you and me to celebrate the love always remembered and in our hearts forever. Wether you buy the gift of a bouquet of flowers or chocolates, or a meal at a restaurant. Although, to show you care you don’t necessarily have to buy anything. A hug, is the best ever memorable gift and if your mom has passed away or she is at that stage of her life where you know she’ll not be with…

A blog before my regular morning visit to the gym and realising tomorrow is the 14th day of February Valentines Day. Oh my goodness, January literally flew by.
