Rugby Tournament

It’s that time of year and the Six Nations tournament is well and truly underway.
As you know I’m a keen fan of the great game, that is Rugby.
And am crest fallen, that there’s a break this weekend, no play until Saturday 24th February.
But let’s not forget how the 2024 tournament began.
With Ireland thrashing both France and Italy, more so Italy, who suffered a ‘zero’ on their scoreboard versus a whopping 36 from Ireland.
Both were ‘stand out’ matches.
Perhaps one of the ‘stand out’ moments, was when the Irish National Anthem was sang with a heartfelt pride and confidence from an eight year old Irish lad. This in front of a crowd of more than 50,000 spectators. It cannot have failed to bring an emotional tear to your eyes.
And yes, there’s still more of the ‘hard yards’ to come but I’d hazard a guess to say my favourite to win the tournament will be ‘Ireland’.
As I’ve said before, “if you’ve never thought you’d like to watch a rugby match, give it a try, you’ll be glad you did”
Next matches Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th February……… enjoy.
